Washington Water Color Association Juried Art Show
 at Strathmore Mansion Art Center.

This show will be juried and judged by Barbara Nuss.  Barbara is a fine artist and has books published by North Light Books entitled, 14  Formulas For Painting Fabulous Landscapes and Winning Formulas for Paining Fabulous Landscapes.

Christmas On The Cape - 2004

Christmas on the Cape Fear River.  Wilmington, NC.

The purpose is to raise money for the Lower Cape Fear Hospice & Life Care Center, a worthy organization.  Wilmington Art Association members, Barbara Allinson, Joe Fires and Helen Killman painted a 10 ft. x 24 ft. mural of the Henreitta II.  During the Festival of Trees, the Henreitta II mural will be located in the dessert room of the Hilton Hotel beginning November 27th until December 5th.

The Black & White Ball & Auction
November 2004

The First Annual Black & White Ball & Art Auction was held on November 12th at the Hilton.  The proceeds went to the non-profit organization Downtown Wilmington, Inc., formerly known as D.A.R.E.  The evening was a success  with $10,000 raised for the economic development of the downtown area.  The silent auction took place at during dinner and each invited artists received 25% of the retail price. Everyone was dressed in black and white and some wore masks.  Each woman received a Lennox silver Fortune Cookie as a memento.  The Wilmington Art Association was well represented by eleven of its members.
